Goa Carnival is festive of four days and Nights finishing on Shrove Tuesday, The day before Lent is usually celebrated during the month of either February or March. Lent means Fasting from meat for 40 days prior to Easter.
The beginning of the Goa Carnival can be seen on the streets of Goa from December itself, which is decorated in a well-planned manner.
Goa Carnival has a history of over 500 years when Goa was a Portuguese Colony and celebrated in a Catholic manner. In Goa, the carnival is associated with positive vibes, dance, musical performances, colors, and unmatched exuberance.
This year Goa Carnival begins on Saturday evening in Panjim city of Goa which is Headed up by the Carnival King MOMO. Beautifully decorated streets can be seen there.
Goa Carnival is full of amazing parades, colorful customers, dances, and musical performances which show the great Portuguese cultures over there. This attracts people or tourists for taking advantage of knowing and taking part in this beautiful colorful festival. Goa Carnivals will end with Red and black Dances, the last day before Lent. Goa carnival 2021 is limited with some restrictions due to the covid19 strain by the Goa government.
